DeSmuME slow as hell

I know, I know. DeSmuME is a resource-heavy emulator, and my computer is not exactly fast. Moreover, I’m trying to run Pokémon Black 2, and Pokémon games tend to be tough on DeSmuME it seems. However, as I was playing now, for a moment it stopped slowing down and it ran perfectly (it went back to bad-normal ~15 seconds later), which makes me think processing power is not exactly the problem here. Anyone has an idea?

I recall audio being one of the major bottlenecks in desmume. You might try disabling audio altogether to see if that speeds things up for you.

Unfortunately, that did nothing. Disabled it on the Audio menu, closed the core, restarted it, no sound but no change in speed too. =/

I wonder if that’s trouble on resource management in part of Windows, that would explain the sudden performance spike I reported… But nothing happened when I changed the priority of retroarch.exe.
