Desmume very slow

Does the Desmume core run slowly for anyone else? I’m using a near brand new OnePlus One which should be able to run whatever I want flawlessly. I also have a Ds emulator named Drastic, this emulator runs every game I’ve thrown at it perfectly with no framerate issues…but I paid $7.00 for it.

I know my phone is more than powerful enough to run DS games (as they work perfectly fine with Drastic emulator), so is there anything I can do to speed up the Desmume core?

Drastic is waaaay faster than Desmume, which is one of the slower cores in RetroArch. There’s a JIT core option for x86/64, but I don’t know if there’s one for ARM.
