Is the dispmanx driver supported for the lr-pcsx-rearmed core in Retroarch on RPi?
dispmanx is a frontend driver, so as long as your retroarch executable is up-to-date, it should be available with any core.
I’ve been running the dispmanx driver for all of the other cores just fine, but for some reason with lr-pcsx-rearmed it just gives me a black screen and I have to kill retroarch from a remote shell which usually causes the Pi to become unstable and I have to reboot. I’ve tried it on two different installs of RetroPie on two different SD cards and it’s the same result. If I switch it to use the gl driver it works just fine. Not a huge deal but I figured if I could use the dispmanx driver I’d rather use that for the input lag fixes.
Thanks for the help!
hmm, dunno what would cause that, since pcsx-rearmed is fully software-rendered
I’ve been having some strange issues with it and the vulkan driver lately, so something must be up.
I may try restoring an older version of the retroarch executable and see if works with that. I’m pretty sure I remember it working a while back. If that’s the case I’ll open an issue with retroarch.
Thanks for the assistance!
