Dll missing on windows 10 install

Ok now. Retroarch crashed on my fresh windows 10 install.

Getting the famous dll is missing prompt.

Can we actually get retroarch working properly on windows 10? Even on a fresh Install I’m having these issues, I’ve returned to windows 7 for now but I’m really hoping someone can shed some light as to what’s happening?

I’ve come to know this program very well the past few weeks but this one is pretty frustrating. And direction would be great so I could attempt to tackle this tonight

Which actual .dll error are you getting? Have you ran the direct X online updater? I was having a simular issue with my Win 10 build but once I downloaded all the older direct x stuff I was fine. xaudio was causing my crash because that is set as the default, so either I could change this in the config file to dsound or download all the correct drivers Win 10 does not come with by default.

It’s the d3 dx9-43 I believe. I thought retroarch relies On direct x9 and you can’t install that on windows 10.

What did you install after upgrading windows as far as direct x?

From what I can tell that’s the issue
