Dreamcast core problems

Hi,

I loaded the Dreamsast core from RetroArch and download the ISO for Rival Schools 2. Then extracted the files to a separate folder in my “Emulator” folder which is set up so that XMB can detect it, which subsequently has a “Dreamcast” folder in it’s contents with the .cdi file for Rival Schools 2.

So I loaded the core and then tried to load the content for Rival Schools 2 (which I think is that cdi file right?), and the RetroArch screen appeared but instantly crashed. Do I need the BIOS for the Dreamcast core? Or is it something else?

Yes, you need the BIOS files. They go into your ‘system’ folder, in a subdirectory named ‘dc’: http://wiki.libretro.com/index.php?title=Reicast
