DS4 Controller configured as Port 1 even if it is turned off

Hello everyone,

I’am currently running Retroarch 1.8.6 on my Windows 10 x64 System.

I use my DS4 Controller as a Directinput Device through Bluetooth. This is working very well for me so far. But I’am currently facing a “problem”. If I exit Retroarch and turn off my DS4 Controller (By pressing the Homebutton on the Controller for approx. 10 sec), Retroarch will still autodetect it afterwards on Start as Port 1. I’ve checkd ny Bluetooth settings in Windows and Windows also claims, it is still connected.

If I start Retroarch after rebooting my PC without turning the DS4 Controller on in the meantime, it does not get recognized by Retroarch (Obviously).

I have also an Xbox One Controller, which I can connect to the official Microsoft Adapter via Bluetooth, which doesn’t have this Problem.

My question is: Is this something, that can be fixed in Retroarch or is it related to Windows and can’t be specifically addressed by the Retroarch devs?

This isn’t a big deal to me, but I’m curious about this and it would make my Retroarch experience even better, if this gets fixed.

Best regards Matthias
