I’ve noticed that the “system” folder inside the main Retroarch folder is empty in beta and nightly builds. In the stable 1.0.0.2 build, this folder contains various special DSP chip ROMs necessary for bsnes with certain games, and some other cores as well. What’s up with that? Is simply copying them from the stable build to the nightly build a safe workaround? Is there anything I should not copy?

Sharing those files isn’t exactly considered legal that’s why the official builds don’t include them, same with any other kind of BIOS file. You can safely share them over between different RA builds.
I see. That’s odd because this link right on the official download page does still have those files. (hint hint better get them fast) I just figured there would be some official announcement about the devs changing their minds about that issue. Thanks for the info.
