Enabling Threaded Video Crashes RetroArch After 1.8.4 Update

I recently updated RetroArch to version 1.8.4, and while it seems to have fewer problems than previous versions did, RetroArch freezes and then crashes if I try to load any games while threaded video is enabled. Enabling threaded video after loading a game doesn’t seem to crash the emulator immediately, though. However, attempting to save any core overrides after switching to threaded video in this cases does crash the emulator. Can anyone help?
