The search on the forum isn’t working, so idk if my question was already answered.
So, can I set the fast forward in cores like vba-next? I’d like to have a faster forwarding. Thanks in advantage.

Fast forward works by disabling vsync and letting the video run as fast as it can. If FF isn’t going fast enough for you, you’ll need a more powerful machine because the emulation is already happening as fast as it can manage.
That said, in your retroarch.cfg, there’s an option labeled “fastforward_ratio = -1.0”. If you uncomment this line (that is, remove the # sign [or add it at the bottom of the file if the option doesn’t exist in your cfg file]), you can set a maximum fast forward ratio, which I don’t think is what you want.
Thanks, but I was forgetting that I’m on Android version. I must disable the vsync and stop?
Ah, in Android, I think you need to map fast forward to a gamepad and/or overlay button. Disabling vsync will make it run as fast as possible all the time.
However, I don’t think any current Android devices can achieve significantly faster speeds in VBA, since it’s a very demanding core.
Ok, thanks. I asked because I thought that a gba core didn’t be demanding, and I saw 16x FF in another emulator. No offence, your work is wonderful
maybe the other emulator uses frameskip when using FF.
Idk this, can I use frameskip only on FF in retroarch? If not, thanks the same for your answers and for your work
RetroArch is the best multi-emulator ever.
