so i have an old version of fba to play neo geo games but my question how to map the games this way ?

Did you try “save core configuration?”
iirc, those core options were going by the name fba-<romsetname>-macro-P1_Buttons_AB, which is why they were romset specific and couldn’t be set globally. That macro implementation was bad in every kind of way, which is why it was removed 4 or 5 years ago.
For all kind of reasons including that bad implementation for macros, you shouldn’t be using that super old version of the fba core, you should be using the current version (which is now named FBNeo) instead.

The FBNeo core has 4 preset macros (AB, CD, ABC and BCD) for neogeo games, and they can be remapped through the controls menu.
