[Feature Request] Option Per-Game to Invert Aim

Hi. I am recently playing Nintendo 64 games since Project64 1.6 and there is one thing I think the new Project64 2.3 does better than the cores that I wish retroarch could use. The option to use a key-modifier to invert the aim.

The thing that keeps me out of n64 games since a long time was having to press DOWN so i could aim UP and that kills me. For example, when I press and hold R1 on my gamepad, project64 invert the aim on my Left and/or Right Analog so i can play shooting games the proper way. Here’s a screenshot of the feature.

I think you can use the ‘controls’ submenu in the quick menu to swap the + and - directions for the analogs, you just can’t put an analog direction onto a digital button or vice versa. If that works, you can save a game-specific remap that will only go into effect when that game is loaded.

Unfortunately I can’t. I can change Left Analog Y-Axis to X-Axis for example, but that will make both Up and Down become Left and Right, and what I want is Up/Down become Down/Up by inverting his own axis and not changing to another axis like retroarch does.

And the main problem with N64 is that usually the Analog that is responsible for Moving is the same for Aiming so if for some reason I could invert the Y-Axis, my char would move Down when I try to move Up, that’s why a modifier would be handy.

What I propose is an option to 'invert" the Y-Axis for instance, so Up is Down and Down is Up when a button is holded or pressed.

Sorry for my bad englando.
