[Feature Request] Spectate mode with 2player mode?

I mean, that 2 players are playing over internet and 3rd man looks this as a spectator.

I think maister looked into this when he first implemented spectator mode, but it makes things get a little bit crazy and he couldn’t make it work without making a total mess of the code.

So what about adding a client-server-client? This will increase the number of players is greater than 2, and easily sync. It will also add savestates for resynchronization.

Yeah, there’s been talk for quite awhile about adding “laggy” netplay in addition to the current “lagless” method, but it’s a ton of work and no one has had the time and/or inclination to take it on.
