Fix for Hotkey-Buttons in MAME2014/2016 (Service, OSD, FPS, Reset)

hello,

here is a little workaround (pre-config) for people who don’t want to activate the MAME-Hotkeys (default: L2, R2, L3, R3) by pressing it accidentally …

Download and unpack the file…

Than copy the included folders to your “Savefiles” Directory.

New Hotkey Mappings are:

Show MAME-OSD: BACK(SELECT)+LT(L2)

Show FPS: BACK(SELECT)+RT(R2)

Service Key: BACK(SELECT)+L3

Reset: BACK(SELECT)+R3

feel free to comment (at least if the link is dead) have fun

here again as text-only… (for people who don’t want to download the file)

https://pastebin.com/XYipMFWj

just copy&paste it into a new txt-file, rename it to “default.cfg” and copy the file to:

“…/savefiles/mame2014/cfg/…”

OR

“…/savefiles/mame2016/cfg/…”

Do you think this is the same issue as mine on github here? https://github.com/libretro/mame2014-libretro/issues/37

hello, (Un)fortunally i haven’t noticed anything like that what you posted in the “Coin button and MAME tab-menu”-Thread, so far. I only had used the Mame-OSD to did a default-remap for the 4 Hotkeys and added the resulting folders and “default.cfg” from the “savefiles” directory to an zip-file… But maybe (as side-effect) your issue is covered with that “cheap fix”, i think it should.
