I just bought a WiiU. Its hardware seems not weak. Even CPS3 games can run very fluently. I wonder if WiiU is powerful enough to handle Flycast core. The resolution of WiiU Pad is perfect for Flycast core. It will be great if DC, NAOMI and ATOMISWAVE can be played on WiiU Pad.
Heard several times they aren’t running full speed on WiiU, but whatever.
flycast on WiiU is (probably) never gonna happen, mainly for 2 reasons :
- i don’t think it meets GL requirements for the renderer
- there is no sh4 dynarec for ppc
On a sidenote, i think the switch barely manage flycast emulation after being overclocked, and i expect the switch to be a lot more powerful than the Wii U, even at standard clock.
