I can only think of an issue with the naomi BIOS (naomi.zip). Make sure it is up to date with the roms you are running. There’s nothing special about Naomi vs. Atomiswave in terms of configuration or anything else.
If it still fails, post a verbose log with core logging enabled.

thank you, I had to change to Mame rom sets. It does not work with .bin .lst anymore
