For The RA Devs: How is your Ouya experience so far?

Hey all.

Back again after a long absence on the Libretro forums for a message to the developers of RetroArch (Toad King, Sqarepusher, etc.).

I know Toad King got an Ouya. And I believe Dragonfire sent Squareusher one… Anyway, I’m missing the point, here’s my question for you guys:

How are you liking Ouya? Both from the development side and the gaming side of it?

Also, what sort of issues are you guys running into, and do you think RA fares well on the Ouya?

Anyway, just made this out of curiosity, thanks guys

had to literally hand edit the google adb drivers to add the ouya device IDs and restart windows so I could install them without driver signing

the microusb port is super finicky and it has taken me a whole minute to get the damn thing plugged in

the left trigger on the controller got stuck, then unstuck somehow. i’m avoiding using it for now

still has the android problem where literally any other app running can tank performance

overall, still not the worst android experience i’ve had. performance is decent, and it appears to work good even with static syncing

Good to hear :stuck_out_tongue:
