Freeze while Downloading/Updating cores

On my Win7 x86 System I have a problem using the update fuction in RetroArch x86. While trying to download a core the update window does nothing after reaching 100% of the download.

The core was downloaded and the zip file is in the programm dir. But it gets not extracted.

On a different x64 system this is working.

Works fine here :\

Hmm. Maybe I try from scratch again with a clean install.

Same issue here, it’s downloading zip archive and fails to unarchive it (going to endless loop) for some reason. I tried with a clean install on Windows 7 32-bit.

Works fine with a clean install in Wine at least. I don’t have an Win 7 32-bit machine to test on. Could you try building from Git and see if the problem persists?

I’m not really familiar with building software or working with Git. But I can give you access to my WinXP sandbox VM via TeamViewer if you want. Issue reproduces there as well.
