Hello,
I was wondering if this feature could be implemented in an upcoming release? Unless I am overlooking something cheat support would be a great addition to this emulator.
Thanks.
Hello,

Cheat support exists for bSNES core, however there is no universal, decent cheat code format that works across all emus, so this feature has zero priority.
I only want it for NES emulation. Is it possible I can make it a priority? I am willing to make a paypal donation.
Your money is useless and doesn’t hold any sway over development.
Squarepusher I recall your name from the early ps3scene days. Didn’t you have an emu at one point with cheat support? Is it compatible with 4.30 cfw?
That was SNES9x PS3 only. The rest of the emulator ports also didn’t have cheat support.
I don’t support the old PS3 ports anymore - if you don’t care about cheats then RetroArch PS3 is better in almost every way at this point.
We will likely look at cheats sometime later but it is really no great priority right now to us. The best way to do that would be to do it in an emulator-agnostic fashion.
Thank you for your response. I suppose I will have to rely on hardcoding cheats for NES roms for now then.
Not sure if this is noted or not yet but current Issues I have with the standalone FCEUmm release are:
Not saving save states after reboot & Not saving control configuration settings & Various crashes here and there
[Based on V0.9.8-beta3] (PS3)
I am more than willing to help in any way possible if necessary.
One neat addition would be faster scrolling for the main menu on roms.
Keep up the good work your efforts are most appreciated.
jamalcoar - I don’t release ‘beta’ builds.
You’re on your own with those. They’re made by people who merely compile snapshots of the current Github repository - as such they can’t know when something is ready for release or not.
Most of the stuff you mentioned has since been fixed, and you will just have to wait until I feel it’s ready for an official release.
