RetroArch doesn’t seem to be recognizing my Gametel Bluetooth controller. When I try to map the retropad, it doesn’t show in the device index and none of the buttons register when I try to map a button. The device is working fine in my other Android emualtors.
Any ideas what might be wrong?

Try using the retroarch latest nightly also you could try using the app tincore keymapper to make retroarch think you have a supported controller.
I have a gametel. It has to be synced in “hid gamepad mode” for it to work in retroarch.

I am having the same issue with a bluetooth controller. I just put together my first ever Pi (3 v.B) and loaded Lakka on it. I bought an EVO VR VG010 game controller (bluetooth Android and IOS).
I can get it to pair perfectly fine in Libretro via SSH, but RetroArch will not see it.
Exactly how do you “sync it in hid gamepad mode”??? I have spent the last several hours perusing the web and have tried various methods to no avail.
Having many issues with my 8BITDO hoping to get resolved as well!!!
