I tried Mario kart, Mario luigi super saga and Mario advance 4 and every one of them crash or say the game failed to load.
Am I doing something wrong?
Edit: okay, it works now. I guess I have to use US Roms only.
Are you using No-intro ROMs?

@PresidentZer0 Just do a search for no-intro on your favorite torrent site. They’re generally provided as a full set.
