Genesis Plus GX Instant Crash

Not sure if this is the right place to ask core specific problems but up until now I have had no core issues and I can’t seem to find a place to post help for this.

I am trying to run Sega Master System games with Genesis Plus GX (which works fine for Genesis) but it crashes instantly upon loading. From my experience this usually means wrong core or missing BIOS. Does this core not play SMS games as it suggests?

Not sure how to troubleshoot from here.

Edit: Well, apparently clrmame removed all my file extensions within my zips, which was my problem. Woops. Sorry!

I’m having the same problem … did you figure out how to stop clrmamepro from doing that?

As a side-note I’d look into getting those Master System BIOS.

They may not be “necessary” but seeing the bootup screen is awesome and something a lot of people overlook.
