Is it possible to have seperate configs for these systems? They all use the same core so I’m wondering if it’s possible. I know I can do per-game config but I don’t want to have to do a config for every game in my collection. Also by the same logic is it possible to have seperate configs for Gameboy and Gameboy Color? I use Gambatte Core
No, RetroArch doesn’t have any concept of systems, only cores. You can, however, make a copy of the core and rename it and then use per-core configs to have one for the renamed core. This won’t work with overrides, I don’t think, since they work from the core’s internal naming system, while per-core configs work from the filename (I think; I don’t use either, so I’m not super-familiar with the finer details).
Im not sure what your front end setup is, but Rlauncher supports this by naming the cfg after the system. example: “Sega Genesis.cfg” “Sega Master System.cfg”
