Hi Everyone;
First of all, I wanted to thank you guys/guy for this awesome project. I’m wondering if the Xbox360 version of RetroArch supports Sega Genesis games or not. And does it allow 2-player games?
Thanks

Yes. There is a Genesis Plus GX core lovingly ported to libretro by Squarepusher. As of this week, it supports 2 players.
Edit: Oh, I saw the conversation in #retroarch. I might be wrong, then. I assumed all libretro ports were available on all platforms due to the nature of libretro.
Actually yes genesis plus gx is ported to the 360 and does run but…the sound is horrible. Twinaphex has yet to figure out the problem and the original auther(ekeeke) isnt even sure what the problem is. Something to do with MVSC I believe but you will have to ask twinaphex about the details.
edit: Just noticed that its squarepusher over here not twinaphex:P
Yes, sound is broken for Genesis Plus GX on Xbox 360 - hence why I have chosen not to release it.
Actually, somebody could help me out with this if he would reappear from the shadows of the Internet. Yoshihiro managed to fix this issue in a very old version of Genesis Plus GX (he called it Genesis360). Unfortunately, he never released the source - so we can’t look at how he did it. (and no, the Genesis Plus GX port for libxenon will be of no help - that’s Linux, and compiled with GCC it’s guaranteed to sound right - just not this 360 version of MSVC).
If somebody can get me in touch with this guy again, I would be grateful.
In case people still think this issue is pertaining - Genesis Plus GX actually runs now on RetroArch 360 and has been released.
