Got a new computer, Retroarch games got screwed up

I like to emulate multiple gaming platforms on Retroarch. One of them is windows 98 through dosbox pure. I recently bought a new laptop but the f# keys are written REALLY small on the keys so while playing console emulated games I ended up pressing the wrong function keys. My windows 98 games worked just fine until I started accidentally pressing the wrong Function keys. Now the games don’t show up when I play them.

I think I changed a setting somehow with the function keys and I need to know which setting it was so I can change it back. What do the function keys do to retroarch that could have changed it? I know F1 opens the menu, F2 save states, F4 loads state, F6-F7 changes states, what do the other F# keys do that could have changed retroarch and how do I change it back?

I also have the original retroarch on my old computer so if retreiving an old settings file and replacing my new one with the one that works will solve it I am willing to do that. But I need to know what files control retroarch functionality.

Go ahead and try your old config and see if it helps.

You can see what’s assigned to the F keys in settings > input > hotkeys.
