GPU requirements relative to resolution

I’m out of the loop regarding Android stuff with this:

E.g. I have an old tablet with 1024x768 resolution and Mali 400 MP4. Shader-wise it’s limited to about CRT-Pi.

What kind of GPU would be needed with substantielly increased resolution (say 2048x1536) so standard shaders like Easymode or Hyllian become usable or maybe even run some of the 3D hardware cores? Are there any particular recommended benchmark sites and specs I can look out for?

Are the fillrates / Gflops stats I can extrapolate from?

As far as I know, it’s going to be more related to the number of shader units, which isn’t frequently advertised.
