Help, Games just are black screens, tried many different cores

So here are my specs Windows 10 Pro 64-bit English (Regional Setting: English) ntel® Core™ i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.5GHz 8192MB RAM AMD Radeon ™ R9 390 Series

So i have the latest Stable Build of retroarch, I have never used a previous version of retro arch. I run the gui, download a snes core (ive tried them all at this point) scan my directroy with games, it finds them and lists them, go to run the game select a core and all i get is black in the window with the frame counter going up

Dunno what to do tried downloading other version with no avail did i miss something?

Can you load them if you skip the playlist scanning and go directly to ‘load content and detect core’? If that doesn’t work, what if you go to ‘load core’ first and pick your core and then ‘load content select file’?

Ok, must be something wonky with the playlists. Try going to settings > playlist and manually assign a core to one of the playlists and see if that helps.

Yep all fixed, Thank you sooooo much, now if i could only get ICE to work zzzzz
