Help Needed to Run Nintendo World Championships 1990 on RetroArch

Hi everyone,

I’m having trouble running the ROM Nintendo World Championships 1990 (USA) (Competition Cart) on RetroArch. The ROM works perfectly on Nestopia UE, but I want to play it in RetroArch using the Nestopia core or any other compatible core.

Here are some details about my setup and the ROM:

ROM:
    CRC: 0B0E128F
    SHA-1: 977286FDC76C34A618E2A2D0270641BC36CFE89C
    Mapper: 105
    Dump: NES 2.0 (extended iNES)

Platform: PC running Windows

Core tested: Nestopia in RetroArch

The game stays stuck on the “Welcome to Nintendo” screen. Does anyone know if RetroArch supports Mapper 105 for this game via the Nestopia core? If not, what core or emulator should I use in RetroArch to make this ROM work?

It should work in nestopia-libretro if it works in Nestopia UE, but it looks like mapper 105 also works in FCEUmm-libretro and should work in mesen-libretro.

EDIT: hmm, all of them just sit on the title screen the same way.

EDIT2: oh, nvm, they all work. You just have to hit start on P2 to start the game, then actually play with P1. Dumb, but whatever.
