I’m trying to restore a core. File is a .so. I have it in the retroarch/download folder. It restores fine, but won’t load. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? Thanks
if you’re using the ‘install a core’ option and it says it’s successful but then won’t load, I suppose we’d need a log of the failure to load to even guess what’s going wrong.
There is nothing in my log folder. I must have missed it but the core I needed is in the regular online updater. It’s the new Beetle PCE core. Not PCE FAST. I still would like to know how to backup and restore cores for safe keeping.
You would need to be able to copy them out of your /data/data/com.retroarch/cores directory, but that’s only accessible with root permissions.
