Thx for the help

Okey before getting excited! You gotta trash that build you installed from internet, jailbreak your iPad with pangu (pangu.io) and then install the official RetroArch build from Cydia!

Okey that help a lot… thx man but i have 2 question now :3

THe first one is the is sometimes when I use retroarch and there is no problem but when i try to open it, seems like it crash and the icon stop working, and i dont know where is, I turn off the ipad and then when i turn it on again the icon is gone and the only thing i can do is reinstall retroarch from cydia and the information of the games is still there a bit strange isnt?

The second one is: there is a delay when it connected by hdmi it only me? or for everyone, is that the case what can i do? :o

Oh man, the second one was a question that followed me for years until i discovered Display Out, tweak! That dude gonna solve your second question! Works perfectly. I use it to play PPSSPP on tv. Okey i guess you jailbreak your devoce with pangu, if so, its very common after sometime it will stop doing that. Also that happened to me at the beggining, but i reboot my device once and now its solved.

Devices with a 30pin connector (older devices) are honestly better when connecting to a monitor using the hdmi adapter and using it for gaming purposes. From my experiences, there isn’t any lag or delay from when you press a button and the action happening on screen. However, with devices that use a lighting connector…in short, it isn’t as great-especially if you like to play fighting games (that are usually 60fps). With some games though, like rpgs, platformers, ect (games where the slight lag wont be an issue) it’s still more than playable when connecting to an external device. Some things that could help minimize the lag is to make sure you’re using a monitor/tv that has low response time (like 5ms or lower) and lower display lag. Usually pc monitors (with an hdmi input) will be your best bet. If you do use a hdtv, putting your tv setting to “game mode” can also help too.

Once you do jailbreak your ipad air, the tweak Display Out from cydia is indeed a really good tweak, which will let you use more of your external monitor’s screen space. Great for emulators, applications and games. Though one thing to note when using Display Out with some appstore games:

Some games (like real racing 3, battle supremacy, etc) already use the full screen of your external monitor when connected through hdmi, and when you have Display Out enabled in settings, it will cause issues when the game is displayed through the other monitor. So to avoid those particular issues, make sure to have display out disabled first. Emulators though have no issues, so feel free to leave it enabled for those!

Yes, lightning-to-hdmi is basically wired AirPlay: http://www.panic.com/blog/the-lightning … -surprise/ The connection is latent and artifact-y as a result.

well thx!! that was helpuful the llittle lag im talking about is no more than -.3 to .5seg but in games that important xd

BTW about the DisplayOut I have to buy it? is the only way to install it?

thinks “Hmmm, how should I answer this question…”

In short, by normal means and by the default cydia sources, yes. You would have to buy it and it would be the only way to install it.

However, there are ways around this and one can attain the tweak for free, especially if you want to try it out first and see how it works for you and it’s usefulness in your situation. If you do go this route and find the tweak to be useful to you, then no doubt the dev would want you to support him by purchasing his tweak officially; personally I think he’s one of the best devs when it comes to useful tweaks. In the end though, that decision is up to you.

Here, add this source in cydia repo.hackyouriphone.org/

There are many sources like that which allow you download and use paid tweaks for free. Cydia will warn you before installing that source, so use at youre own risk.

On a side of humor, all the devs (especially squarepusher) from Retroarch would love it if you used that source and downloaded all of the “.emu” emulators!

I kid, I kid…lol

Thx!! Already bought xdd, No problem :)°°

But when i try to put an PS1 game it always said " Bios no found, expetec bug!! and its really slow u_U

Xdd, what’s that? Here, this is info for general configurations. http://www.libretro.com/index.php/wiki/configuration/ To make it easier on yourself, just put your psx bios in the “.retroarch” folder.

Also, psx shouldn’t be slow on a ipad 3. Your ipad IS jailbroken, right?? If your ipad is jailbroken and you installed RA from the official cydia source http://libretro.com/cydia/ Then it shouldn’t be slow. If it isn’t jailbroken, then yes, it will be really slow and there’s no way to fix that slowness unless you jailbreak it. If you are jailbroken, then what could be making your game slow is because you are missing the bios.
