Help with Keyboard "Enter" and "Backspace"

I’m using Lakka with a Keyboard-like controller (Tankstick). I’ve configured Retropad to my Tankstick and the games work great, my problem is that I cannot navigate the Retroarch GUI.

Seems to me in the past, the GUI responded to whatever keys were configured to Retropad “A” and “B”, but now the GUI only seems to respond to “Enter” and “Backspace”.

So, I can move around in the menu with my mapped Tankstick joystick, but I cannot activate a menu item without plugging in a proper keyboard and hitting “Enter”.

All advice appreciated!

I saw this comment in Reddit: “in nightlies it’s enter and backspace (and hardcoded for the time being)”

I downgraded to a build from 09/16/2016 before Core and Menu buttons were separated, that seems to work for now.
