Hgoda90 - OrionsAngel's Overlays w/ Bezel Presets

FYI

Download folders have been restructured to Preset Packs and Renamed Image Pack. The Preset Packs folder as koko-aio, Mega Bezel and Uborder separately with appropriate named folders inside of each except Uborder.

Uborder will be added to include all OrionsAngel overlays once I have completed CyberLab overlays.

With the adding of the borders I thought it appropriate to drop Mega Bezel from the title.

All links to the pack versions still work but will no longer include images.

Thanks, never liked how that T molding looked. I wanted it to be smooth without ridges.

About the best I think I can do with Uborder.

WIP

I know there is need with koko-aio presets to be updated and will work on those once I finish with Mega Bezel Arcade presets.

I have made a few changes and had to play with the new settings to find what needed to be updated.

With what Hyllian has said gave me the idea to have the images placed into Retroarch overlays and just each preset look for them there.

Quick Update

– OrionsAngel’s Candy Cab and NES Themed Box Art packs have been updated to use overlays in Retroarch’s overlay folder

– OrionsAngel’s NES Themed Box Art ver. koko-aio has been updated to correspond with new koko-aio updates.

Note: Candy Cab presets didn’t need changes for koko-aio.

WIP

I had an idea to change the links to clickable icons since I was adding Uborder.

Key

Mega Bezel: Samus Helmet

koko-aio: Duck

Uborder: Smiley

Note: Attribution of the icons will be added at the top.

FYI

Went ahead and changed the top around so that everything is in a gallery. All the links have been changed to Preset packs themselves so users can download which ever pack they want at once as well. Alternative links are still available.

There is a Uborder link included but it just leads to an empty folder for now.

If there is any suggested changes then let me know.

I was trying your koko-aio packs and noticed that you’re using “bezel/koko-aio-slang” path, which won’t work with the default “bezel/koko-aio” folder that comes through the Online Updater.

Thanks Starman, it has been changed to “bezel/koko-aio” now to follow the updater.

@hgoda90, if you don’t mind, I’d like to fine tune these uborder presets with latest features, like adding options to use koko-ambi, for example, or using assimetry bezels and smoothing edges. I think it would give a good upgrade to it.

EDIT: I just finished making the presets. It’s here: Orionsangel-Candy-Cab for uborder (fine tuned) + koko_ambi and more

If you like it, just incorporate in your pack.

Just curious, are the neighboring cabinets in all of these images baked-in to the shader image? Or could we point it to a different background image than those neighboring cabinets?

The main cabinet and neighboring cabinets are all in the same image.

Dang. That would be a lot of work to replace every single one with a more subdued background. I wonder if Orionsangels would release alternate versions that we could slide our own background behind? Might inquire with him. Thanks though.

Do you have any video how to install your preset? I’m not sure about where to add images in retroarch

I haven’t made an installation video. The images are meant to go in the Retroarch overlays folder.
