Hotkey Mapping to a combination of buttons

Is this possible? For context: I’m using retroarch on a stand up arcade unit with a GPWiz usb controller board. I’ve got it set up with 2 joysticks and 8 buttons per player. I won’t have access to the keyboard easily when fully assembled. I want to be able to hit hotkeys with a combo of buttons, like for example, pressing both Up and Select to hotkey in Volume Up. Right now it would seem Retroarch does not support button combo mappings besides the Quick Menu, is that correct?

Correct, but it allows you to set one key (hotkey enable) to modifier, then all the hotkeys require the modifier to be pressed. So, modifier + F1 = menu

Just bind that key and you should be good to go

How do i map quick menu to a gamepad instead of pressing F1 on the keyboard?

go to settings > input > input hotkey binds. It’s the last one. You can bind it just like you would a retropad button.
