How can I play Atari 2600 and 5200 games?

(Sorry if this is in the wrong thread!)

So I have installed lakka on an old laptop of mine and have most things running except for the Atari 2600 games and the 5200 games.

The 5200 games are showing up but don’t run and the 2600 games don’t show after scanning.

I have checked out a few threads but became very confused.

Is it possible to play these on my setup and, if so, can someone explain it to me like I am an idiot? (Because I really feel like one at the moment!!)

Someone else may be able to help with the Atari 5200 ROMs, but what Atari 2600 ROMs are you using? ROM Hunter v11 is the set best supported by the Stella emulator core for the 2600.
