How do you open the menu in Android?

I don’t have a menu button on my device, and I don’t see any … thing on the menu bar. How do I open the menu while playing games?

With the default overlay, there should be a little arrow to the right side pointing down. That’s to open ingame menu with save state options, rewinding, etc

Not using an overlay, it’s a JXD S7300 with hardware buttons.

I’m going to implement an ingame menu that can be triggered both by touchscreen and by hardware buttons/gamepads alike for r12 (NOTE - r10 is out right now currently - so NOT the next version, but the version thereafter). It isn’t yet in the current version.

Sounds good. Check out how SNES9X EX does it: No visible icon, but tapping the upper right corner brings up the menu. Hell, configurable touch points wit invisible target zones would be cool. I’ll have to look at making an overlay.

I don’t really like that idea - sounds too prone for mistakes.

Isn’t that possible with a custom overlay anyway though?

Hmm, at least consider dimming out the menu bar like 9X EX does?
