How to add/create shortcuts on overlay?

Hi guys. First off, thanks devs for this amazing program. Never would’ve thought I would be able to emulate PSX games on my iPad with, the games I’ve played so far, with no issues.

The thing is, I frequently use save states, load states, and fast forward in my games.

My question is, instead of having to go to the menu everytime to fast forward for example, is there anyway I can add a button on the main overlay (with the main controls) in the corner or so, for shorcuts for Fast Forward, Save state, and Load State?

Sure, you can do that. The overlays are just a series of png images with a cfg file (regular ol’ text) that tells the program where to put the buttons, what the buttons do and what size to make them. This document explains everything: https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/w … figuration
