How to disable scrolling the main menu while browsing desktop UI menu

When I browse the desktop UI menu I notice that when I press any button, the activation is also done at the same time in the RetroArch main menu. My settings are changing randomly because of that. I’ve tried using the ‘‘Pause toggle’’ option but it doesn’t stop scrolling in the main menu. Aren’t there any settings that prevent the main menu from running or at least turn off the control while browsing the desktop UI menu?

That should not happen.

Will this happen with a fresh install as well?
(delete your retroarch.cfg but make a backup before)

Oh you are right, I deleted retroarch.cfg file and that solved my problem! I also tried returning my previous retroarch.cfg file and the same problem occurred, I didn’t know the problem was because of that file, but anyway I feel very comfortable now, as I use the desktop menu mainly, you really saved me from big trouble, Thank you for the help.

NP.

The problem was caused of some setting you changed
Compare the settings in your old file with those of the new generated one (RA creates this file on the first start) and then change the settings one by one until you can figure out what caused this behaviour.
