How to get Wiimote+Classic controller to sync

I am having an impossible time trying to get my Wii+Classic controller to work. I am on IOS7 (7.0.4) on 4th gen iPad.

I am a noob with btstack (I installed BTstack Keyboard and it detects my controller setup) but I am able to sync my controller successfully with SNES9x Ex+ with no problems at all.

I have read the manual and it doesnt seem to help.

I am running:

Cydia v1.1.9 iOS7 v7.0.4 iPad 4 Wiimote+Classic Controller

Any help/advice would be SUPER greatly appreciated! I am really looking forward to using my n64 roms without having to use the onscreen controls!! Thanks!

Is it not syncing at all, or do you get partial input only? Something else?

On PC, I’ve been having problems with my Wiimote+CC since a bit before the 1.0 release, so something may have broken with that controller, specifically. However, I haven’t had time to git bisect and figure out which commit actually broke it. :confused:

Not syncing at all. The wiimote only ever just flashes the 4 lights at the bottom. I might not be doing it correctly.

Does anyone have a step by step process or a video? Like I said, I have tried reading the manual pdf but I am lost :confused:

Hi there! I joined this forum for this exact issue too. I have connected my Wiimote to my iPad 4th gen and I have the classic controller working with out a hitch on SNES9x Ex+. However, Retroarch will not recognize the classic controller at all. It does, however, recognize the base wiimote. When I try to configure keys, the CC is unresponsive but I can do whatever with the wiimote. I have yet to try the nunchuck attachment, but is it possible that Retroarch isn’t recognizing Wiimote expansions?

[UPDATE]

Before you start Retroarch, unplug the wiimote from the Classic Controller.

Press 1+2 on the Wiimote.

Start Retroarch while the Wiimote seeks connection.

After the Wiimote connects, plug in the classic controller and enjoy :slight_smile:
