How to know which core is updated?

Im using the online updater but it seems like there is no way to know if a core has been updated.

There is no version number or an indicator that the one you have is an older version.

How to know when to update a core then?

Sort by date. Voila.

It could be. However, do know that we often change things that don’t affect all platforms (buildfixes for other platforms, etc.) that will still cause a rebuild on the buildbot. The best thing to do is go to the core’s github repo and look at the recent commits to see if there’s anything you care about.
