How to load BS games onb snes9x or bsnes?

Hi,

I was trying to use some Nintendo Satellaview games on RetroArch, but I found myself unable to load any BS game on latest bsnes or snes9x cores. They always show a black screen or don’t load.

In snes9x 2005 or 2002 cores, the game work fine, but these cores are not intended for use on modern computers. On standalone snes9x 1.58, you need to load the games using the multicart game loading and load BSX bios as Slot A and game as slot B. I found unable to reproduce this method on Retroarch via cli.

When I start any of the cores (snes9x or bsnes) and go back to RA GUI, an option “Load BSX” appears on the main menu, but even using that option, games don’t load.

So, anybodu knows howto load BSX games on recent snes9x/bsnes cores?

What are the games you are trying to play to begin with ?

I don’t have much BS games, but I tried F-Zero 2, and all BS Zelda games, all are working fine with BSNES Mercury Balanced (and probably Snes9X but can’t be sure).

Check the cores documentations to see if you need a bios, a black screen is more than likely a problem with the emulator unable to boot the game because there’s no bios.
