How to make cheat codes work on Mednafen PSX?

I can’t seem to make cheat codes work on mednafen psx core. How can I get it to work? Thanks

I don’t think that’s implemented yet. That’s sad, I’d like to use some 60fps cheat which are really great in PPSSPP stand-alone.

PPSSPP and Mednafen PSX are not related at all, what do you mean?

And yeah the core doesn’t support cheats so far

Can I use a GAMESHARK instead? If so, how?

You’d have to find the gameshark iso, and then treat is as any multidisc game, preferably using an m3u file

Do I need to place Gameshark and the “Game” to the same folder then create an m3u file?

Would you be willing to share how you managed this? I’m restarting a couple JRPGs from scratch and would like to avoid some random battles to catch back up to where I was; I’ve tried using game shark, but the emulator seems to hang up when it can’t detect a save file.
