How to set/view core options in RGUI?

I’m having some difficulties here, and it seems like it should be fairly obvious. Under the main menu, there is a section called ‘Core Options’. When I drill down into this section, I only get ‘No options available.’ for any I have tried. I realize not all cores may have options, but I am expecting to see some for bsnes (blargg’s filters specifically) and mednafen fast pce should have some too I believe (like no sprite limit).

I enabled per core config, but that does not help.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Windows 7 64-bit, Retroarch v1.0.0.0

You’ll need to load a game first to access core-specific options.

Also, bsnes doesn’t come with blargg’s NTSC filter as a core option, though Nestopia does.

To use that filter, you can either specify the cpu filter version in your cfg file using the video_filter = “/path/to/filter.filter” option or by using maister’s NTSC shader, which looks very similar (for composite/svideo, at least).

Thanks guys. I see the core options if I go to the menu once the game is loaded. I guess I was expecting to see some for bsnes. I will try playing with the filters in the config as you suggested.

In case you don’t already have them, here’s a link to the CPU filters you can load (assuming you’re using 64-bit Windows): http://www.mediafire.com/download/62p83 … -amd64.zip

Thanks. Now I’m tying to figure out if I even like these filters…
