How to use Rufus to create a bootable drive (Linus RetroArch Nightly)

Hey guys, So I have used Rufus to make many a bootable flashdrive, but I can not figure out how to use Rufus with the files that I have downloaded. Currently I’m trying to put RetroArch for Linux (a nightly build) for a 32bit machine onto this flash drive via Rufus 2.8.886 (most updated version) with the files downloaded directly from the nightly build page here:

http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/

From here, I would normally boot up Rufus and go to select my ISO which at this point instead of selecting the first folder that says ‘linux’ ( I DID UNZIP THE FILE) it just keeps opening up to the next folder then the next and so on. I have also tried doing a DD Image which yields the same results. If anybody could walk me through how to do correct this or what Im missing that would be awesome!

Thanks! Dennarah

It sounds like you want Lakka images: http://www.lakka.tv/get/ rather than RetroArch nightly builds. Lakka is a minimalist linux distro that boots directly into RetroArch. The nightly builds are intended to run within an existing host OS.

Heya! I have been battling with Lakka for more than a week now here’s a link to another forum post of mine and maybe you can help me with that issue I have!

This was my alternative but I guess I didn’t do enough research into this variation. Is there anyway you could look into my Lakka issue I have? Thank you so much!
