How well does retroarch 1.6.0 work on an xperia play

I am thinking of getting an xperia play and want to know if it is worth it.

I guess that mostly depends on a couple of factors: 1.) how modern of a ROM can you get for it? 2.) how much free space does it have in its internal storage (i.e., will RetroArch even fit anymore?) 3.) which cores were you planning on using? I think it’s probably similar to my old Epic 4G, which struggled to run snes9x2010 and PCSX-ReARMed (they’re both borderline on that device, IIRC)

It’s completely crap for RetroArch.

  1. It only has 512 MB of RAM
  2. The onboard storage is only 400 MB (!!!) and the microSD slot is basically useless to move apps and games
  3. The SoC is only single core
  4. The flex cable that runs from the main PCB to the screen is prone to fail way too frequently

For standalone emulators it works fine tho. Until the screen stops working, of course.
