Hyperkin GN6 USB Sega Genesis controller button issues

Connected through OTG Cable. The buttons, “Y(Left),” “L(L Shoulder),” “X(Top)” and “R(R Shoulder)” aren’t getting recognized properly, they will register but they will all get mapped as #0. Only the directional, start, select and buttons, “B(down)” and “A(right)” are the only one’s that’s working properly.

At first, I thought the controller was defective but when I tried it on windows, all the buttons are recognized. I tried EPSXE on android and all the buttons got recognized.

Is there a possible way to fix this?
