I now hate video games thanks to you

I have an issue with this, and I don’t even want to ask you. You keep changing this thing, and it’s starting to seem like you want to infuriate ME personally with it.

All I want is for it to display at 512x448 like NES games are supposed to on my monitor. I get the very strong feeling that this entire program is just a way for you to troll video gamers. I don’t feel like messing with your video settings anymore. You are disgusting sadistic trolls who ought to be horsewhipped.

lol ok, nobody is forcing you to use the program. good luck in your future endeavors.

Service with a smile as usual, PC elitist scumbag.

How many people are mad at you, I wonder? Too bad your fascist regime doesn’t allow dissenting opinions. Why don’t you just admit that you are trying to irritate people?

I cannot tell whether it is an inside joke between them or the TC lacks some candy in his jar.

Geez someone had a Hissy Fit.

How old are you? 2?

I’m confused, aren’t NES games more like 256x240 or 280x240 with the added horizontal fills included or more like 292x240 with the right aspect ratio? Anyway, I’m not (reverse) trolling, rather I guess I’m mostly just very curious about your setup and/or your assumptions.

Lolwut. You assume the NES outputs square pixels, which it doesn’t for one.(pixel aspect will different slightly between TV’s) And two, it’s super easy to output 512x448 if you really wanted that on a vga crt. Simply make a custom res, edit the retroarch cfg file to run at that res, load up the NES core. Turn on integer scaling, set aspect ratio to custom, set the multipliers to 2x, save core override and be done with it.

Or you can simply play at 640x480 with 2x integer scale and leave the empty space.

No one is making you hate games because you can’t be bothered to learn how to do anything without some trial and error along the way. We all have to learn somehow. Likewise no one is forcing you to use RA. There are plenty of standalone NES emulators and I am pretty sure one of them has an option for a 448p fullscreens mode given your monitor had that set up as a custom resolution.

It’s fine. He apologized via PM. That doesn’t actually fix anything, of course, as you can’t really just take back shitty behavior, but we don’t need to pile on or anything.

Wow. That was an entertaining read. Things were starting to get boring around here lol
