Ios video output with no lag?

Has anyone been able to achieve this? Airplay mirroring lags with about a one second lag. Lightning to HDMI cable lags by about .5 seconds. Any settings we can modify to help the performance. Using iPad Air 7.1.1

Lightning to HDMI is actually just wired airplay. It still does video compression, etc. and that introduces lag. Nothing to be done about it, unfortunately :frowning:

Yep you are right. Pretty silly it’s designed like that. Thanks for the quick reply

Try out DisplayOut tweak!

This probably sounds dumb, but is there anyway to have like a ‘TV out’ mode on ios that would delay input controls by x milliseconds or something so it wasn’t as noticeable with an external controller? Or would that not help at all and just lead to even more problems :stuck_out_tongue:

Have you had better success with that? I’m not sure it would make any difference would it?

That kind of compensation wouldn’t work, you already are watching a delayed image, and now you would delay inputs, but the program is still way ahead, so your idea would just make your inputs be even more delayed

Have display out already installed and no it doesn’t improve Performance, but at least it gives me full screen gaming in my 55" LED

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Hi AndreSM

Was your reply about the displayout tweak or the tv out option?

Displayout does not make a difference from my tests. Though a tv out function would surely increase performance if not remove lag altogether. Would that ever be possible?

It was about what Paltypus said. I dunno about IOS tv-out sorry
