I had my iPad Air 1 working perfectly with the PS3 controller and playing N64 games, it was amazing. I just bought an iPad Air 2 and am on iOS 8.1 and the PS3 controller will not sync. I’ve tried using and deactivating controllers for all and nothing.
Maybe the new A8X chip is the guilty.
Did you re-pair your controller with your new iPad, or is it still registered to your previous iPad’s Bluetooth MAC?

having similar issues on 8.1.1 iphone 6. can not for the life of my get a stable connection with my ps3 controller and retroarch. CFA works fine because i can use it for MFi apps (fifa, bioshock for example)
