iPega 9083 Controller Won't Function In Retroarch (Windows 10)

Hi Everyone,

I have a Windows 10 tablet, and an Ipega 9083 telescoping bluetooth controller.

I can successfully connect the controller to the tablet itself (at least, it says it’s connected), but when I open RetroArch, none of the buttons work. I can’t scroll, or input any of the action buttons even to load content or update cores.

I also can’t seem to use the touch screen interface to manually access Retroarch’s settings. I tried single tapping, double tapping, swiping, etc. I figured there might be a solution in the Retroarch settings.

Does anyone have any experience with this problem, and know how I can get my Ipega 9083 controller to work with this Windows setup? I’d appreciate any advice you have.

Thank you!

If it has any different “modes”, you could try different ones.

For the touch input, try changing your menu to ‘glui’ instead of the default ozone in settings > driver.

Is that something I would do on the tablet OS, or in RetroArch? As I said, I can’t seem to make touch controls work at all in RetroArch.

It’s in RetroArch. I recommend attaching a keyboard temporarily while you iron out the kinks.
