I have a very nice set for MAME 0.181, and I see the current core is 0.183. Is it possible to get 0.181 anywhere? I’d rather not update my ROMset if I don’t have to, as I use this version of MAME for other projects.
I don’t think so,
But if there are no major changes in official MAME versions you probably won’t notice any issues for a while using your .181 set with the current MAME core at .183
The latest static MAME core from Libretro is mame2016 which runs 0.174 romsets but I think it does have some issues to be fair
I managed to find an ‘unofficial’ download for 0.181 in the forum by doing a search, so that worked out nicely. It works great.
