Is there a way to use a microphone with DS games?

I’ve been trying everything that I’ve seen about this topic, yet nothing seems to work. I use DeSmuME (Windows 11). All I really want to do is play TLoZ: Phantom Hourglass.

There is work on a version of MelonDS for libretro which is adding this feature, so hopefully it will appear in the next few months.
